Day 1: Delhi – Leh
Your adventure begins with an early morning flight from New Delhi to Leh — one of the most spectacular one-hour flights in the world. As the aircraft cuts through the Himalayas, the view from the window reveals an otherworldly landscape of snow-capped peaks and river valleys.
Your first day is dedicated entirely to acclimatisation. That evening, an enriching talk by a Buddhist Scholar on Tibetan Buddhism and Introducing Ladakh sets the stage.
Overnight: Saboo Resorts (Cottage Suites) or The Grand Dragon (Premier Heritage Suites).
Day 2: Oracle Visit & Heritage Walk
After breakfast, visit one of Ladakh's most revered mysteries — the Oracle (Lha-mo / Lha-pa). These spiritual healers divine the future and treat ailments, their traditions linked to the region's Buddhist monasteries.
The afternoon brings a LAMO Heritage Walk: two hours through hidden bylanes, carved wooden balconies, old ruins, and the living soul of Leh .
Day 3: Thiksey Monastery & Ladakhi Culinary Experience
Rise before sunrise for the monks' pre-dawn prayer ceremony at Thiksey Monastery. Experience the natural dyeing of Pashmina fibres using traditional Ladakhi methods. For lunch, the Artisanal Alchemy Ladakhi Lunch with Ms. Kunzes Angmo — a native palette of organic, seasonal produce from home kitchen gardens representing authentic Trans-Himalayan food traditions.
Day 4: Zingchen to Rumbak Trek
Trek: 2.5–3 hrs | Moderate | Optional: Cycle Spituk–Rumbak
After breakfast, we drive along the Indus to Zingchen village — gateway to Hemis National Park. The trek winds through Zingchen Gorge into snow leopard territory. Watch the cliffs: territorial markings on rocky outcrops may hint at the presence of Ladakh's most elusive resident. A hot picnic lunch is served en route.
Optional: Cycle the 23km from Spituk to Rumbak along the Indus — meditative, challenging, and unforgettable (6 km uphill section).

Day 5: Hozing Peak Hike & Village Life
Hike: 2.5–3 hrs | Moderate/Strenuous (1 hr)
Hike from the lodge to Hozing Peak for panoramic views of Stok, Phyang, and Taru valleys, then lunch at a villager's home. In summer: witness wheat and barley sowing by hand, ploughing with dZos, and glacial-meltwater irrigation.
Day 6: Yurutse Village & Ganda La Base
Hike: 2.5 hrs | Moderate
Walk to Yurutse (4,170 m) — a single-house hamlet at the base of Ganda La pass (4,840 m). The trail follows a crystalline stream through stunning scenery, with bharal (blue sheep) and other high-altitude mammals often visible. Picnic lunch served along the stream.
Day 7: Stok La Pass (4,800 m)
Hike: 4 hrs return | Moderate/Strenuous
The ascent to Stok La (4,800 m) starts gently but grows progressively steeper. At the pass, the world falls away: the Indus Valley shimmers below, extraordinary colored rock formations of the Stok Range rise around you, and Kang Yatse and Ganda La complete a breathtaking 360°wilderness panorama.
Day 8: Rumbak → Nubra Valley via Wari La (5,273 m)
Drive: approx. 5 hrs over Wari La Pass
Departing Rumbak early, the route crosses Wari La (5,273 m) — an exceptional high-altitude crossing with views stretching north to the Karakoram and south to Ladakh and Zanskar. Descending through yak herds and pastures bursting with lavender, wild asters, and alpine wildflowers.
Overnight: The Kyagar Resort / Lchang Nang Retreat
Day 9: Nubra Valley Exploration
A full day in Nubra: Ensa Monastery atop a dramatic hilltop with the statue of Lord Avalokiteshwara; ancient plant fresco paintings; the serene Yarab So Lake ("Wishful Lake"); and Samstanling Monastery. Lunch at the Kalon Farmhouse among alfa grass and apricot trees. The evening brings a stroll through Diskit's market and a camel ride across the Hundar sand dunes on double-humped Bactrian camels. Drive to Hundar Gorge before an uphill walk following a glacier-melt stream through terraced farmlands to pasture lands at 4,100 m.
Day 10: Hundar Gorge Hike (4,100 m)
Hike: 2 hrs uphill + 1 hr return | Moderate

Day 11: Return to Leh via Khardung-La Pass (5,359 m)
The drive back to Leh (4–5 hrs) crosses the legendary Khardung-La — one of the world's highest motorable passes. The views are extraordinary. Back in Leh, spend the afternoon wandering old market alleyways in search of Ladakhi mementos and artisan crafts.

Day 12: Departure — Leh to New Delhi
An early morning cup of tea, one last look at the Himalayan ranges — and then the flight home. The mountains will be waiting for your return.
